Government Reflection 2nd period

1) I learned about the bicameral congress consisting of the House and Congress.
2) The difference between the civil rights and liberties surprised me.
3) I do not agree with the second amendment. I feel that people and government are taking advantage of something that was necessary for that time period.
4) Taking U.S. government has informed me about the process of our government, how one becomes elected, and the amount of power each branch has. I also learned about the individual rights that I am entitled to.
5) No Gitms.

Discussion Questions: World War II represented global power which in turn convinced many Americans there was nothing-America-couldn't do.

2) Domestic, civil, and personal restrictions.

3) Ms. Biskupic basically meant the Supreme went through trial and error.

Rights that are relative but not absolute:

Freedom of speech, you cannot say anything you want. There are exceptions such as fighting words and phrases that may infringe on community and public safety.
